Born in Philadelphia but raised on the sunny Florida coast, Mr. Stern attended the Florida State University, where he was a Dean’s List student and graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Minor in Russian Language Science. While in school, Mr. Stern honed his oratory skills representing the School of Arts & Sciences as a Student Senator in the Student Government Association.

Mr. Stern went on to receive his Juris Doctorate at the Stetson University College of Law, nationally recognized for its Trial Advocacy Program. As a third-year student, he clerked for the Honorable David Hon. David. A. Demers, Florida State District Judge in St. Petersburg, Florida. From there, Mr. Stern worked as a Certified Intern with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, where he was assigned a caseload and tried cases in the juvenile division.

Prior starting to starting his own practice, Mr. Stern worked for two years as an Assistant Public Defender in the tough Rockdale County Judicial Circuit. After representing hundreds of indigent clients and trying numerous cases (including numerous dismissals and several acquittals), he left to work as an associate at a small, boutique firm in Atlanta. Soon after, Mr. Stern hung his own shingle and started this firm, which has been serving the metro Atlanta area for over 17 years.

Mr. Stern passionately represents clients in municipal, state and federal criminal prosecutions, including trials by jury. His attention to detail, ability to communicate well with others, and professional, persistent attitude all combine to help him achieve the best possible results for his clients. Mr. Stern is active as a Sustaining Member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, a member of Congregation B’nai Torah synagogue and the endlessly proud father of an 11-year-old Roblox and judoka master.
